We humans need energy to do all our works, be it going to school, playing, eating food and even walking. All this energy comes by fossil fuels.
🪵What are fossil fuels?
Fossil fuels are made up of plants and animals that died millions of years ago
They are crushed over by rocks and plants
We dig them up as coal, liquid oil, and invisible natural gas.
We burn them to use electricity, light up homes, and power cars.
🥵The broken greenhouse blanket.
Earth usually has a thin layer of gases to keep us warm.
Fossil Fuels release tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).
It turns the layer of gases to a heavy, thick quilt.
The extra heat cannot escape, making the Earth even hotter.
🚨We must control them to save our future.
Due to this, the ice at north pole and south pole will melt and all the polar bears and penguins will have no place to even live
This melted ice will go to oceans and destroy beaches and coastal cities,
Storms will become stronger and the heatwaves in summer will be tough to survive,
Farm places will become too hot and dry so it will be hard to grow food over there
The air will be so filled with smog so playing outside would destroy our lungs.
☀️The good news:
Solar power: Catching energy from the sun using solar panel
Wind energy: Using giant windmills that spin like wheels to produce electricity
Water energy: Using the strong power of river to turn energy generators into electricity
But we must ensure that fossil fuels are not used in large quantity.
